Triples Day 2025

We held their popular annual Open Triples Day on Saturday 28th June, hosting  teams from East Sussex. The day was blessed with fine weather and some extremely close matches, ‘The Cup’ final was won by Herstmonceux team (The Woodpeckers) and Gildredge Park (Friends United ) were Runners-up. The ‘plate’ was won by  Sidley Martlets Team (SpecialsTwo) with Crowborough BC  as Runners up.

The trophy was presented by Claire Waterhouse  representing Heathfield Funeral Services who sponsored the event.  Huge thanks goes to everybody for organising a very successful day and a special thanks to Heathfield Funeral Services  for their continued support.

Short Mat National Competition

‘Horam qualified for the mixed fours (national competition) 64 teams entered up in Melton Mowbry Had to recruit 2 replacements this year but held our own and certainly will try and be there next year!!! ‘

I want to say that we now have a new Dew Switch in the Bowls equipment shed.

This is for anyone to use to remove worm casts and dew from the Green. See the above video on proper use.

Club defibrillator

I am pleased to report that our new defibrillator has now been installed in the clubhouse, located on wall next to the main enterence door.

A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart through the chest wall to someone who is in cardiac arrest. No training is required with this AED model.
