HORAM OPEN TRIPLES 2026
I have been reflecting on the years we have been holding our Open Triples Day competition. I have been a Member of the Club for over 35 years and it was being held when I joined. I believe it was Mick Blackford who started the event, and it has been a major fund raiser since then. It is hard work, but over the years very profitable, and well worth it.
This year has been no exception; a great deal of hard work by Members produced a very successful day, both from those taking part and the money raised (over £1,000.00). Well done for all those involved. The feed back from those taking part has been very positive.
It is dangerous to start thanking individuals; I am sorry I have broken that rule. The success of the event relies on teams taking part, and I feel it wrong not to mention Gina who worked very hard getting 20 teams, when there are so many other Clubs holding similar events.
We also have to thank Heathfield Funeral Service, our major sponsors, who were represented on the day to present the prizes to the winners and runners up. Thank you, Claire.
Not to be complacent, there is always the possibility for improvements, so if you have any ideas that you feel could make the day even better, please let one of the Committee Members know.
Once again, well done everyone, a great day.
